“Come as you are - you are welcome here.”
I believe true healing works on every level: the mind that holds the story, the body that carries the weight, and the soul that knows the way forward. My work brings all three together in a space that is safe, non-judgemental, and deeply held.
I survived, and I made it. It wasn't always easy.
I'm not here to pretend to be anything other than who I am. I'm open about my own vulnerability, and I believe that's exactly where real connection and healing begin. This work isn't just what I do - it's who I am, and I do it with my whole heart.
I've built a career, and a life, around creating a safe space for people who feel different, who've been through things others might struggle to understand, or who've been told they can't come back from where they are. I'll walk with you through it. I've been in the depths myself - homelessness, breakdowns, the darkest of nights - and I've also known what it's like to sit with only the mildest of problems. Wherever you're starting from, I understand it.
If there's one thing I'd want people to take from my story, it's this: you can go through horrific things and still come out the other side as a genuinely good person - one who wants a beautiful life for the people around them too. Forgiveness and acceptance are hard, but they're the key to unlocking real change.

There's an image I come back to often when I talk about that process: Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. Every crack, every break - whether caused by accident or by someone else - gets mended, and what's left is often more beautiful for it.
That's how I think of myself. I wouldn't change what I went through, because it made me who I am.
Through it all, something in me never changed. I've always prayed, always held good intentions, and always tried to send love to people, even when they'd hurt me. I did the deep work on myself - meditation, Reiki, and stripping myself right back to the core - and that's where I found every one of my shadows. I learned to bring them to the table, sit with them, and make peace with them. Once I did that, I became whole again.
I don't think there's a lesson I haven't learned along the way, and it's exactly those lessons - lived through myself, and alongside family and people close to me - that led me to becoming a counsellor, psychotherapist, and life coach.
There have been good times and some genuinely horrific ones - a lot of healing, a lot of change, a lot of letting go, and a lot of loss. I've been through domestic violence, depression, anxiety, and periods where I lost my way completely, and my children felt the impact of that too. But I don't regret a single part of it. It took a lot of pain to get me to where I am now, and to the peace I have today.

I came in bearing so much tension. I didn't think I could carry it, and I left breathing lighter.
I was sceptical about Reiki, but Ema-Lou's depth of knowledge and warmth won me over completely. I've completed Level 2 and I'm working toward Level 3.
The beach retreat was the first time in years I felt genuinely present. The combination of clinical background and spiritual sensitivity is something truly special.

I'd tried coaching before and it never stuck. This felt different — practical, honest, and paced around my actual life, not a template.
